Deutsche Gesellschaft internationaler Studierender (Engl.: ISCG – International Student Community Germany) is the community for international students and anyone coming to German to pursue an academic career and/or employment.

Connecting international students across Germany

We are connecting internationals across the country and offer a space for exchange by organizing exceptional events – ranging from network parties at the hippest nightclubs in Germany to seminars and receptions with experts from society, politics and business -, connecting a unique network of like minded people, offering an outstanding scholarship opportunity, opening doors to the German job market and much more. While doing so, we are always aiming to think out of the box and to stay on the pulse of time by addressing topics like globalization, diversity, digitization and sustainability.

The DeGiS is not only about politics, career and education though. We are actively empowering our members to meet, socialize and have fun in a completely unofficial and private setting. Free of judgement, prejudices and eyes of potential future employers, DeGiS members are embracing international friendship and celebrate their time in Germany.

What other students said...

Our members are the most important part of everything we do. Without them we wouldn’t exist, hear what they have to say so far.

“Not only have I had the chance to meet other internationals in my city, but I also saw a lot more of Germany than I could have imagined when coming here due to DeGiS.”

Hassan, 22 y.o., 🇪🇬 Egypt

“Thanks to DeGiS I have settled in Germany much easier. Found friends in my city and didn’t have to spend my Friday night at the dorm.”

Ricardo, 25 y.o., 🇲🇽 Mexico

“Got my internship via a contact at DeGiS very seamlessly. Couldn’t think of any job platform which would make it that straightforward.”

Xue, 21 y.o., 🇨🇳 China

“Even though I have been to Germany before starting my Erasmus semester here, I have never had the chance to experience it in a way I could with DeGiS.”

Antoine, 20 y.o., 🇫🇷 France
